Chartered Tax Adviser (CTA) – become an expert in Tax Advisory

Recognised as the leading tax advisory qualification in Ireland, the CTA programme is designed for individuals who aspire to pursue and excel in a career in Tax Advisory. You can be a graduate at the start your career or an experienced professional who regularly encounters tax-related issues.

The programme blends technical expertise with practical advisory skills, ensuring you can navigate complex tax issues with confidence. The curriculum is built to equip you with the tools needed for advising clients on business decisions.

It really broadens tax knowledge and I find that a significant portion of what I learn is applicable to real life work scenarios. I have recommended the course to work colleagues.” 2025 CTA Part 3 student

If you want to become a trusted business adviser and be at the centre of client relationships, this online tax advisory qualification will get you there.

Diploma in Tax - refresh your tax knowledge

Ideal for professionals wanting to expand their tax knowledge and get up to speed with Irish tax legislation, our Diploma in Tax covers the Irish tax system and six key tax areas. It will give you the ability to evaluate and identify tax issues arising from financial/commercial events, to calculate liabilities and apply reliefs and exemptions.

Assessed through the multi-disciplinary assignments, the Diploma in Tax is a practical qualification and will raise your awareness of how taxes interact with each other.

I had very little knowledge of Irish tax prior to the course, so this was a steep learning curve and very valuable for my day to day work.” 2025 Diploma in Tax student

Tax Technician – learn the fundamentals of tax

Perfect for those encountering tax in their compliance work or people returning to work, the Tax Technician qualification provides a thorough grounding in the fundamentals of Irish tax. Covering income tax, VAT, corporation tax and capital taxes, this course gives students the confidence to handle day to day tax matters with accuracy.

It’s the ideal starting point for school leavers, career changers or compliance professionals to develop practical, job ready tax skills. With its flexible modular structure, students can study at their own pace and choose to sit one to four exams per exam sitting.

I am a complete beginner, I do not work for any accounting or tax firms. I took on this course to challenge myself to learn about tax. I have learnt so much and the leniency in terms of studying less subjects at my own pace is so beneficial.” 2025 Tax Technician student
