Our Education team works closely with students, lecturers, authors and external stakeholders to ensure a high quality learning experience and the smooth delivery of programmes from registration through to assessment.
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and highly organised Education Coordinator to support the day-to-day administration and delivery of our education programmes.
Working closely with the Education Operations Manager and the wider education team, this role is central to ensuring a professional, responsive and well-run service for students, lecturers and key education stakeholders.
This is a varied role that combines student support, academic administration, systems coordination and stakeholder engagement. It will suit someone who enjoys working in a structured environment, managing multiple priorities and contributing to the smooth delivery of professional education programmes.
Key Responsibilities
Administration and student support
- Respond proactively to enquiries from prospective students via phone, email and, where required, at in-person education events.
- Process all stages of student registration accurately and in-line with approved policies, ensuring timely communication and access to learning platforms and materials.
- Maintain regular and professional communication with current students, responding promptly to queries and providing support throughout the student journey.
- Assist with the administration of the student appeals process in-line with approved regulations.
Course coordination
- Manage the academic calendar for assigned courses, including scheduling lectures and liaising with lecturers and facilitators.
- Monitor lecture delivery and gather, collate and maintain relevant data and feedback.
- Prepare accurate student attendance reports, including reports required by employer firms.
Systems, content and data management
- Update and maintain course information, including timetables, content on the Institute’s learning management system (Blackboard) and relevant sections of the Institute website.
- Work with authors and editors to coordinate updates to student manuals, manage version control and ensure materials are delivered according to agreed schedules.
Stakeholder and contributor management
- Develop and maintain positive working relationships with lecturers, authors, external suppliers and other education stakeholders.
- Prepare contracts for lecturers and authors, and manage the preparation of monthly payment schedules for contributors.
Assessment and team support
- Support the assessment team with key aspects of online exam delivery, including registration, administration and release of results.
- Keep up to date with developments in education technology and platforms relevant to the role.
- Attend regular team meetings to coordinate and plan course administration activities.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement and streamlining of education administration processes.
- Assist with coordination of promotional activities such as careers fairs, competitions, scholarships and processing of prizes.
- Assist with such other related responsibilities as determined by the Education Operations Manager, including taking full responsibility for certain aspects of course delivery.
About You
Essential Requirements
- A relevant third-level qualification
- 2–3 years experience in a related administrative or coordination role, ideally within an education or training environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a professional and service-focused approach.
- Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to plan, prioritise and meet multiple deadlines with accuracy and attention-to-detail.
- Proven ability to work effectively as part of a team and to build positive working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Strong IT skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Excel and the wider Microsoft Office suite, to support reporting and data management.
Desirable
- Experience using CRM systems, such as Microsoft Dynamics or similar platforms.
